ACCOUNTING ASSISTANT (Reference Job # 2206270100) – Permanent Full-Time

The Accounting Assistant will be responsible for the basic accounting functions of accounts payable, accounts receivable, account enquiries, receipting, and deposits. The Accounting Assistant will not only support the Assistant Treasurer but also support the Administrative Assistant. Responsibilities will include but not limited to answering phones, cover reception during breaks, lunch, vacation, and sick days. First point of contact for the Finance Department. The Accounting Assistant shall possess a friendly and professional demeanor with the ability to uphold a high level of confidentiality while interacting with employees, management, the Town Council and the public.

INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY (IT) SERVICES COORDINATOR (Reference Job #2206272350) – Permanent Full-Time

The candidate will be responsible for providing support to all staff and Council in the areas of information technology systems and business applications used throughout the organization. The candidate will also act as a liaison between the Town of Hampton and its outsourced IT services provider and any 3rd party software companies. The incumbent is expected to engage as part of a team environment; work with staff across the organization; require minimal supervision and make sound decisions.

The Town of Hampton is participating in the CPRA Youth Employment Experience Mentorship program.  This position is open to youth between the ages of 17 and 30 years who are legally entitled to work in New Brunswick and are a Canadian Citizen, Permanent resident or a Protected persons as defined by the Refugee Protection Act. The candidate will be working on a recreation plan for the newly formed municipality of Hampton (Entity 47). This will include conducting a needs analysis for the new community, organizing community stakeholder meetings, developing an asset database of facilities, organizations, policies and services in the new community, helping with a SWOT analysis of the findings and assisting with developing and implementing community recreation programming.
