New Amendments and By-Laws are detailed below when proposed.
Public Notice that the council of the Town of Hampton, in compliance with Section 111 of the Community Planning Act of the Province of New Brunswick, intends to hold a public hearing of objections on Tuesday May 10, 2022 at 7:00 pm at the Town Hall, 2nd Floor Council Chambers, 648 Main Street, Hampton NB, to hear objections and/or comments pursuant to the proposed By-law No. 221-2022: A By-law to Amend the Zoning Bylaw.
The amendments being considered would amend the current Schedule A: Zoning Bylaw Map under the authority of the Community Planning Act to rezone lands adjacent to 142 Centennial Road, identified as Parcel Identification (PID) Number 30087241 (4161 sq. m.), 30087266 (4031 sq. m.) and 30087258 (1165 sq. m.), from One and Two Residential (R1) to Agricultural and Rural Lands (AR) to facilitate the development of a winery production building and addition of a small farm-gate/on-premises sales room. The primary parcel at 142 Centennial Road, identified as PID 30005037 (21,958 sq. m.), is currently zoned as Agricultural and Rural Lands (AR). At present Happy Knight Wines is produced in New Ross, NS. The property owners of 142 Centennial Road wish to move their wine production from NS to their location in Hampton.
Anyone wishing to offer an opinion on this proposed By-law may do so in person at the hearing of objections meeting or in writing by dropping off your letter during regular business hours to the office of the Clerk of the Town of Hampton, Town Hall, 648 Main Street before Noon on Friday, May 6, 2022. A letter may also be sent by email to firstname.lastname@example.org. Anyone may inspect a copy of the proposed By-law by clicking the link below, or in person at the Town Hall where business hours are from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday to Friday.
