Bloomin’ Artists
On the last full weekend in July the Town of Hampton and its gardens become the annual inspiration for approx. 40 visiting artists, as they draw and paint a series of small works inspired by the beauty of their surroundings.
All art works are small enough to fit into a 12” pizza box and are sold by silent auction at the end of each day.
The Bloomin’ Artists fundraising event is sponsored by The John Peters Humphrey Foundation, as well as Communities in Bloom. Proceeds go toward The Credo Project, the human-rights-themed monument on the King County Court House lawn in the centre of Hampton. It was erected in memory of Hampton native John Peters Humphrey, who wrote the first draft of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights in 1947.
